The Serengeti is a truly spectacular destination, renowned for its vast open grasslands that offer excellent opportunities for wildlife sightings. As Tanzania’s oldest national park and one of the oldest ecosystems on earth, the Serengeti’s climate and vegetation have remained largely unchanged for millions of years.
While the Serengeti is home to abundant wildlife, it is perhaps best known for the annual Great Migration. During this natural phenomenon, vast herds of wildebeest, accompanied by large numbers of zebras and antelopes, move in an annual cycle, constantly seeking fresh grazing grounds. The precise timing of the migration depends on yearly rainfall patterns.
Day four will feature a full-day game drive, providing ample time to explore the stunning landscapes and encounter the diverse wildlife. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Formed two to three million years ago by the explosion and collapse of a massive volcano, the crater is celebrated for its geological marvels and as a sanctuary for one of the densest populations of large mammals in Africa. The descent into the crater is an adventure in and of itself, and the floor is teeming with wildlife, including wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and over 500 bird species.

After an early breakfast, we’ll drive to the nearby Lake Manyara National Park for a game viewing experience. Your first encounter will likely be with large troops of baboons. Lake Manyara derives its name from the Euphorbia tirucalli plant, known as “Emanyara” in the local Maasai language. The park features unique landscapes, including patches of yellow fever trees along the grassy lake shores and the dramatic Rift Valley escarpment as a backdrop.
The park’s entrance welcomes you with a groundwater forest, offering a refreshing change from the savannah-dominated parks. Its lush green vegetation, towering trees, iconic tree-climbing lions, soda lake fringed with thousands of pink flamingos, large water birds, and playful baboons create an unforgettable safari experience.
