Day 1

In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha by our personal safari guide. You’ll then cover about a 120km distance and route to Tarangire National Park Tarangire National Park is well known for its large elephant herds and a multitude of other creatures. You’ll experience the seasonal swamps, savannah, and life-giving Tarangire River that act as the magnet for animals during the dry season. You will strive to encounter as many animals as possible, including zebras, wildebeest, buffalos, elephants, and giraffes. You may also glimpse lions and leopards. Our professional guide will choose a suitable picnic spot to have a delicious lunch before you finish the game drive until sunset. In the evening, you will be transferred to the campsite for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 2

After breakfast, you will continue toward the endless plains, where you will be able to see the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater before traveling onward to Serengeti National Park (which you will reach by afternoon). Our professional guide will pick a good time to have lunch and some wine amidst the scenery Serengeti National Park is known for its healthy stock of resident wildlife, particularly the Big Five, which are so named because they are the five most prized animal trophies sought after by hunters. The Serengeti is believed to hold the largest population of lions in Africa (roughly 3,000) due to the abundance of prey that lives here the African leopard, a reclusive predator, is commonly seen in the Seronera region but is present throughout the park. Its population is estimated to be about 1,000. After the game drive, you will head to your campsite for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3

Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up for a game drive with a picnic lunch. Your guide will try to cover the best parts of Serengeti which you couldn’t cover on the first day. In the late afternoon, you will drive back to the campsite for an overnight stay. Serengeti is located in Northern Tanzania and is a World Heritage Site with an area of around 15,000 square kilometers. It is home to over 2 million herbivores, 4,000 lions, 1,000 leopards, 550 cheetahs, and 500 bird species. This area teams with massive herds of migratory wildebeest and zebras during the dry season. The Serengeti also supports an abundance of resident wildlife including lions, elephants, hippos, giraffes, crocodiles, and the rare oribi antelopes.

Day 4

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After a hot breakfast in the morning, you’ll go on a tour of a local Maasai boma. The Maasai people are a pastoral group that has kept much of their traditional lifestyle. During the visit, you may learn about Maasai culture. You can also partake in local activities like singing and dancing, herding cattle, milling cattle and goats, and creating fires with animal dung and acacia trees. Your lunch will be at a place chosen by your guide. You’ll also have time to take photos and purchase authentic Maasai handcrafts.

Day 5

Materuni Waterfall and Coffee Tour

We will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha after breakfast. First, you will visit the waterfalls, which are a roughly 40-minute walk away. Along the way, your guide will tell you about the local culture, and village life, and explain the surrounding flora and fauna. The views here are truly breathtaking—with some luck, you will see the summit of Kilimanjaro. The pool at the bottom of the waterfall is an inviting place for a refreshing swim, so don‘t forget your swimwear! After enjoying the scenery, you'll slowly return with your guide to Materuni village, where you will experience a traditional Chagga lunch. In the late afternoon, you will be taken to your hotel or the airport, which will conclude your safari.
