Serengeti National Park
Following an early breakfast, embark on a journey towards the renowned Serengeti National Park, hailed as one of the world's most famous. Though the drive may be lengthy, it offers spectacular views, creating an unforgettable experience for first-time visitors. As you venture deeper into the Serengeti, you'll understand why its name translates to "endless plains" in the local language. Covering 6,900 square miles (18,000 sq km), much of the park comprises vast plains that seem to stretch endlessly to the horizon, challenging your perception of distance. Known as the habitat of the Great Migration, it hosts two million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and various antelope species. Moreover, it's a prime location to spot big cats and other predators like lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas, with many iconic television scenes, including the famous River Crossings, filmed within the park.

Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater
On this day, we recommend an early wake-up call to embark on an early morning game drive, when the animals are most active, and to witness an unforgettable sunrise. After the game drive, we'll return to the camp for a rewarding brunch before heading to Ngorongoro, often referred to as the 8th Wonder of the Natural World. Spanning 102 square miles with 2,000-foot-high walls, the crater resembles Noah's ark, hosting nearly every indigenous species of wildlife in East Africa. It's one of the few places on the continent where you can spot the elusive black rhino. The crater features a river, swamps, a soda lake with a large population of flamingos, forests, and open plains. Renowned for its majestic elephants, known to have the largest tusks in the world, Ngorongoro Crater truly stands as a Wonder of the Natural World.
You'll arrive at Ngorongoro in time to enjoy a sundowner, with the option to upgrade your accommodation level for added comfort and luxury.
