Day 1

Early in the morning after your breakfast, our company representative/guide will meet and brief you about your 6-day Gorilla and Queen Elizabeth National Park safari. After briefing, we'll head towards Kibale Forest National Park, the journey that will take approximately 5 hours. Chimpanzee trekking is a fantastic experience that allows you to observe these fascinating primates in their natural habitat.

After arriving at the hotel, you will have lunch and some relaxation time. In the evening, you'll have the opportunity to go for a Bigodi wetland walk, which will take you through the lush rainforest with a wide variety of primate and bird species.

Day 2

Chimpanzee trekking expedition

Chimpanzee trekking expedition

In the morning, we will have an early breakfast and then head to the park headquarters for a briefing on the rules and regulations for tracking chimpanzees. This is to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. After the briefing, we will begin the chimpanzee trekking expedition with an experienced guide. The trek usually takes 2-5 hours, depending on how close we are able to get to these amazing apes.

When we find the chimpanzees, we will spend the morning observing and photographing them as they go about their daily activities. After that, we will return to our accommodation for lunch and then check out for Queen Elizabeth National Park. We check in at the hotel and enjoy evening at leisure.

The Queen Elizabeth National Park is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. The beautiful landscape, including ridges, forests, crater lakes, and the backdrop of the Rwenzori Mountains, makes it a perfect destination for a game drive.

The park is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and various species of antelope. A game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park provides a unique opportunity to see these animals up close, immerse yourself in nature, witness incredible wildlife sightings, and create unforgettable experiences. After when you have seen almost everything you will return to the lodge for lunch and refreshments.

In the afternoon, you will embark on a guided boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. The channel connects Lake Edward and George and is known for its large basks of crocodiles. The boat cruise here will bring you close to the wildlife that congregate around its banks.

Day 4

Early in the morning, you will be on the road heading to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. The journey takes you through the savanna grasslands of Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth, which is home to the famous tree-climbing lions. On a lucky day, you may spot these impressive creatures lounging in the tree branches. However, we can't guarantee that the lions will be there as they often move to different locations. Along the way, you will have opportunities to see other wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, and topi. Thereafter We shall proceed to the hotel near Bwindi Forest National Park for you lunch and overnight stay

Day 5

This thrilling gorilla trekking experience takes you through the dense impenetrable forest of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in search of gorillas.

In the morning, after an early breakfast and with a packed lunch, your safari guide will take you to the briefing point. Here, a park ranger guide will provide a briefing on how to prepare for the gorilla trek. Your ranger guide will then lead you to find the gorilla family in the forest. You will start on well-cleared paths, but soon you'll venture into the bushes and thickets. You will have the amazing opportunity to observe and witness the majesty of mountain gorillas in their native environment, engaging in various activities.

After spending time with the gorillas, you'll return to the starting point and then head to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation along the lakeside. On the lake Bunyonyi, you can enjoy a majestic boat ride under a breathtaking sunset, enhancing your cruising experience.

Trekking time: 2-9 hours.
