Transfer from Kigali to Akagera National Park

Your guide will pick you up from the accommodations in Kigali and transfer you to Akagera National Park. You'll have an early lunch and relaxation. Later in the afternoon, you will proceed for a game drive. Akagera National Park offers a unique and thrilling experience for travelers seeking wildlife encounters. Morning Game Drive and Boat Cruise in Akagera National Park

You will enjoy an early morning game drive with sights of a wide range of wildlife. After lunch, you will enjoy a boat trip on Lake Ihema for a close encounter with the crocodiles and hippos along the river banks. You'll also have the opportunity to spot some of the over 525 bird species, both migratory and savanna dwelling that are in the area.

Akagera National Park - Kigali - Musanze

You will have breakfast and then enjoy a morning game drive, before returning to Kigali where you'll visit interesting spots which may include the craft market and the Gisozi Genocide Memorial Site.

Then, you will depart for a two-hour drive to Musanze. You'll arrive at Red Rocks Intercultural Exchange Center in time for lunch before joining the local brew makers to learn about the process of brewing a local beer from bananas.

Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

After an early morning breakfast, you'll transfer to the park headquarters together with your packed lunch. You'll begin the morning with a briefing on the code of conduct while with the gorillas. Then, you will head out into the forest in search of the gorillas with your guide.

Finding the gorillas may take from two to six hours depending on the movement of the gorillas in the jungle. You will meet and stay with the gorillas for a maximum of one hour while enjoying the surrounding nature with the sounds of birds chirping everywhere in the forest. After gorilla trekking, you will return to the accommodation for relaxation.

Lake Kivu - Nyungwe National Park

After early morning breakfast at the lodge, you will visit Lake Kivu and enjoy the morning breeze on the shores and can choose to take on some activities like Island hopping, swimming, or sportfishing. You will spend an hour there before heading on to Nyungwe National Park with lunch en route. The drive takes about four to six hours.

Chimpanzee Trekking - Canopy Walk

You will start with another early morning breakfast. Then, you'll head out for some chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe National Park. On finding the chimpanzees, you'll have one hour to watch and photograph them. After the chimpanzee trek, you will head back to the hotel. After lunch, you'll head to Nyungwe National Park for a canopy walk.
