Day 1

In the morning, we will collect you from the airport, marking the start of your journey to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is famous for its vast landscapes, which are filled with endless trees, savannahs and seasonal marshes. Tarangire is home to the largest elephant herds in northern Tanzania, with over 4,000 elephants counted in the last census.

You will encounter giraffes, buffalos, lions, zebras, gnus, and various antelopes and gazelles as you explore the region. Upon arriving at the park, your driver will take you on an exciting game drive, providing plenty of opportunities for captivating photographs. Later, we will enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot before continuing our afternoon exploration of this magnificent park. You will spend the night at Fig Tree Lodge & Camp.

Day 2

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast today, you will pack your lunch boxes and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. There, you will descend into the crater and enjoy a game drive. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is home to various animals, including herds of wildebeests, zebras, buffalos, warthogs, hippos and large African elephants.

A major attraction of this scenic national park is its dense predator population, which includes lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard—often difficult to spot without a trained eye. You can also see various birds, such as flamingos on the soda lake, geese, storks, vultures and more.

Your lunch will be served at the crater swamp and hippo pool picnic site. Later, you will return to Fig Tree Lodge & Camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha

Today, enjoy the stunning views of Lake Manyara and get up close with elephants in the woodlands. Visit the famous Manyara hippo pool, where numerous hippos are lounging from dawn until dusk.

Lake Manyara National Park, located southwest of Arusha in northern Tanzania, is well-known for its tree-climbing lions, which add to the appeal of wildlife safaris. Activities like canoeing, birdwatching, and photography flourish along the shores of the lake, providing visitors with immersive experiences in the park.

The park is home to diverse wildlife species, including elephants, leopards, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and many more. Birdwatching enthusiasts can spot various species, such as black-faced sand grouse, long-tailed frogs, flamingos, and pelicans, making Lake Manyara a haven for birdwatchers.

After the game drive, our guide will drop you off at the airport for your flight back to Zanzibar.
