Day 1

Tarangire national park

Tarangire national park

In the early morning, our guide will collect you from the airport, and following a briefing, you'll embark on a scenic 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Renowned for its majestic baobab trees, often referred to as "trees of life," the park's landscape is adorned with their grandeur, enhancing Tarangire's allure. The Tarangire River, a vital water source, magnetizes hundreds of species, particularly during the dry season.

Upon arrival, your adventure begins with a game drive to seek out the park's diverse wildlife, including lesser kudus, buffalos, oryx, elands, giraffes, and zebras. With luck, you may even encounter predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Following a brief game drive, enjoy a lunch break at one of the park's picturesque picnic spots. Later, embark on an afternoon game drive to further explore the abundant wildlife and other park attractions. As evening falls, journey to the lodge in Karatu for a sumptuous dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.

Its centerpiece is a vast salt lake, a dynamic habitat hosting numerous flamingos and over 300 other bird species. The terrain varies from open grasslands to woodlands bustling with primates, and cliffs adorned with iconic baobab trees. Following the morning wildlife excursion, you'll be chauffeured back to Arusha/Kilimanjaro for your onward journey or flight back home.
