Dar-Kigoma Ujiji then Gombe Stream

Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam and transferred to the airport for your scheduled flight to Kigoma. You will be picked up on arrival and transferred to Ujiji village where you will visit the Dr. Livingstone Memorial Center. You will then be transferred to the Kibirizi port for your boat trip to Gombe. You will be picked up on arrival and transferred to the rest house. After a hot lunch, you will start at 13h00 for chimpanzee tracking in the forest.

Gombe Stream’s main attraction is obviously the chimpanzee families that live protected within the park’s boundaries. Visitors take walks deep into the forest to observe and sit with the extraordinary primates for an entire morning. Apart from chimpanzee viewing, many other species of primates live in Gombe Stream’s tropical forests. Vervet and colobus monkeys, baboons, forest pigs, dik-diks, and various tropical birds inhabit the dense forest. Dinner and overnight are at Tanapa Resthouse.

Visit Kakombe Waterfall and Chimpanzee Trekking

You will enjoy breakfast at 08h00, and at 08h30 go for chimpanzee tracking in the forest. You will also visit Kakombe Waterfalls which is among the best attractions in the park. If time allows, you can climb Jane's Peak where you will have a chance to enjoy the view of the park. Meals and overnight are at Gombe Resthouse.

Chimpanzee Trekking, Forest Walk and Back to Kigoma

After breakfast, start chimpanzee trekking in different valleys, do walking in the forest, and visit the Mkenge Water Wall. At 12h00, you will be back for lunch. You can pack your belongings and transfer back to Kigoma town in the evening time. Dinner and overnight will be at Lake Tanganyika Beach Hotel.

Kigoma to Dar-Es-Salaam

After an early breakfast at 06h00, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the airport for your flight back to Dar-es-Salaam.
