Serengeti, located in Northern Tanzania and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, spans approximately 15,000 square kilometers. It boasts a rich biodiversity, hosting over 2 million herbivores, 4,000 lions, 1,000 leopards, 550 cheetahs, and around 500 bird species. Witness the awe-inspiring spectacle of migratory wildebeest and zebras during the dry season. Additionally, North Serengeti is home to a diverse array of resident wildlife, including lions, elephants, hippos, giraffes, crocodiles, and the rare oribi antelope.

Ngorongoro Crater
After enjoying breakfast in the morning, we'll make our way to the entrance of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Once inside, we'll descend into the crater, providing you with the opportunity to observe a diverse array of animals, including lions, buffalos, zebras, hyenas, antelopes, and if we're fortunate, even rhinoceros.
The crater, which is the largest caldera in the world, was formed around 2-3 million years ago due to a massive explosion. Sitting at an elevation of 1,800 meters (5,900 feet) above sea level, the crater floor is home to approximately 30,000 animals and a rich variety of bird species.
In the late afternoon, you will drive to your accommodation at Fig Tree Lodge & Camp in Mto wa Mbu.

Tarangire National Park
After enjoying breakfast, you'll embark on a full-day safari adventure in Tarangire National Park, accompanied by a picnic lunch. This park, often overlooked on typical safari routes, is a hidden gem in Northern Tanzania. Tarangire is renowned for its tranquil ambiance and boasts one of the largest elephant populations in the country.
The park's expansive landscapes, adorned with majestic baobab and acacia trees, provide a stunning and distinctive backdrop for your exploration. You'll spend several hours traversing the park, allowing certain areas of Tarangire to remain pristine and untouched.
Following an extensive game drive in Tarangire, you'll return to Arusha for your overnight stay, preparing for the next day's scheduled itinerary.

Start your day with breakfast before heading to Materuni Village. Visit the village office to start your adventure. Explore the stunning waterfalls, just a 40-minute walk away, and enjoy a refreshing swim at the base. Return to the village for a traditional Chagga lunch and banana beer tasting. Immerse yourself in the coffee-making process, accompanied by Chagga songs and dances. Conclude your day with a flight to Zanzibar from Kilimanjaro Airport.
