Serengeti National Park to Karatu
As the sound of Africa arouses you from sleep, you will freshen up and go to the main area for breakfast. After breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up and drive to the park for a full-day game drive. If you love animals, then the Serengeti is an excellent place to be. You will find the real Mufasa, Nala, Simba, and Scar, thanks to the Disney film The Lion King.
Around 3,000 lions live in the Serengeti ecosystem. They are relatively easy to spot, not just because of their numbers but because they like sleeping under trees for hours each day. In fact, lions can lounge around for about 20 hours a day! The Serengeti also has bush elephants, Cape buffaloes, birds like kori bustards, Fischer's lovebirds and many others. Later in the evening, you will depart from Serengeti and head towards Karatu (a drive of approximately five hours), where you can relax, enjoy dinner and have a comfortable overnight stay.
