Day 1

Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

After enjoying your morning meal in Arusha, you'll journey to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day of wildlife exploration, accompanied by picnic lunches. Later, you will head to Lake Manyara Jambo Lodge for dinner and spend the night. Extending over a distance of 50 kilometers along the foothills of the rustic 600-meter-high Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara is a picturesque jewel, praised by Ernest Hemingway as "the most beautiful I had witnessed in Africa." The condensed safari route through Manyara provides a miniature representation of the Tanzanian safari adventure. Starting from the entrance gate, the path meanders through a vast, lush, jungle-like groundwater forest, where numerous baboon troops leisurely perch along the roadside. Blue monkeys agilely traverse the ancient mahogany trees, delicate bushbuck cautiously traverse the shadows, and large forest hornbills create a cacophony in the lofty canopy.

Serengeti National Park

After enjoying your breakfast, head to Serengeti National Park for a thrilling game drive accompanied by picnic lunches. Your dinner and overnight accommodation will be at Seronera Campsite. Witness a spectacle of a million wildebeest, each guided by the same ancient rhythm, fulfilling their instinctive roles in the inevitable cycle of life. Experience their frenzied three-week period of territorial conquests and mating. In this journey, survival of the fittest is evident as 40km (25 miles) long columns plunge through waters infested with crocodiles during their annual exodus north. They replenish the species through a brief population explosion, yielding more than 8,000 calves daily, before embarking on the 1,000 km (600 miles) pilgrimage once again.
