Chimpanzee Tracking Experience at Kibale National Park

After breakfast you will be taken to the National Park Visitor Centre for a briefing about Chimpanzee and their habitat, and the Does and Don’ts while being close to them. Then you'll join a small group of other tourists and start the tracking in the forest, guided by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You will usually spend a couple of hours with the chimps, an amazing close-up experience, and sometimes you'll follow them as they move through the forest. Thereafter you will take your lunch and visit Bigodi Swamp, made accessible by means of a boardwalk, with a good chance to spot monkeys and many bird species. The guided walk also takes you through grassland, with small communities where locals are very enthusiastic to shake hands with visitors strolling through coffee plantations and people’s gardens to see how they do daily work.
