Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you'll head to the Ngorongoro Crater, potentially seeing additional wonders along the route!
Beyond the sheer volcanic cliffs is a natural habitat with vast savannah, pockets of acacia woodland, and dazzling lakes and marshes. Two to three million years ago, a large volcano erupted and collapsed on itself, forming the Ngorongoro Crater. The drive down into the crater is an adventure in and of itself. Once on the crater floor, you'll be surrounded by thousands of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and over 500 bird species. Lake Manyara National Park
In the morning, you will head to Lake Manyara National Park, your last stop on this wonderful safari! Manyara is a small yet diverse park 120 kilometers west of Arusha. Everything here is on a different scale. It is both small (one of Africa's narrowest parks) and enormous (the Great Rift Escarpment rises over Lake Manyara's Western border). The park is named after a tiny salt lake. The lake covers a large area of the park, flooding and drying with the seasons while providing habitat for thousands of wading birds. The park's evergreen woodland is home to baboons, elephants, and famed African tree-climbing lions.
After the game drive, head back to Arusha for departure or you can book an additional stay.
