Lake Manyara National Park
You will depart from the lodge at 8:30 am after breakfast, carrying a picnic hot lunch, and head towards Lake Manyara National Park. After a full-day game drive, you will return to Marera Valley for dinner and an overnight stay.
Lake Manyara, stretching for 50km at the base of the rusty-gold 600-meter high Rift Valley escarpment, is a picturesque wonder. Ernest Hemingway once called it "the loveliest I had seen in Africa." The wildlife-viewing circuit through Lake Manyara is compact and offers a virtual microcosm of the Tanzanian safari experience. Starting from the entrance gate, the road winds through a lush jungle-like groundwater forest where baboon troops lounge nonchalantly, blue monkeys scamper nimbly between ancient mahogany trees, bushbuck tread warily through the shadows, and outsized forest hornbills honk cacophonously in the high canopy.

Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will embark on a full-day game drive at Serengeti National Park with a picnic lunch included. You'll witness a million wildebeest, driven by the same ancient rhythm, fulfilling their instinctive role in the inescapable cycle of life here. For three weeks, they engage in a frenzied bout of territorial conquests and mating, followed by a survival of the fittest as they traverse 40km (25 miles) long columns through crocodile-infested waters during their annual migration northward. Following a brief population explosion that produces over 8,000 calves daily, the 1,000 km (600-mile) pilgrimage begins once again.
