Transfer to Bwindi in uganda

You will be met by your safari guide in Kigali, Rwanda who will drive you straight to the Uganda - Rwanda border of Cyanika/Katuna. In the process, you will traverse the lush countryside dotted with undulating hills that have given Rwanda. Arriving in Bwindi in the afternoon, check-in at your lodge and later go on the Batwa Cultural trail. You will go through their villages to have an experience of how they go about their daily routine activities and you'll be amazed by the way they skillfully cultivate the hillsides and how they care for their animals (cows) which are a prime source of pride As you also enjoy the beautiful sceneries as you embark on game drive as well. Dinner and overnight will be at Broadbill Forest Camp.

Gorilla trekking in Bwindi and transfer to Bunyonyi

You will have early morning breakfast. After breakfast, move to the Park's headquarters to join other trackers in a briefing about the gorilla trekking rules at 7:45 am. You will trek through thick creepers and undergrowth with your guides to find the gorillas, which can take you 1-8 hours. The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access by tourists. You will have one hour to stay with the gorillas once sited and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, enjoy the boat ride. The drive will be through a beautiful part of the country often referred to as ‘the Switzerland of Africa’ because of its unique cool weather despite being near the equator. This lake is said to be one of the most beautiful places in western Uganda. It is the second deepest lake in Africa [900 meters deep] and also one of the few places in the country where it is considered safe to swim as it is bilharzia-free. Dinner and overnight will be at Bunyonyi Safari Resort.

Wake up early in the morning after breakfast, then enjoy a canoe ride on this lake before you end your stay in the "Land of the Mountain Gorillas". You'll depart with great memories of the moments spent with the fascinating mountain gorillas. We transfer you back to Kigali to catch your departure flight.
