2 travelers on Start dateArusha to Tarangire National Park
After picking you up from your hotel and meeting your tour guide, you will drive for two hours to Tarangire National Park, which is renowned for its varied landscape. The park is well-known for having the highest concentration of elephants in Africa and for its profusion of ancient baobab trees! You will get the opportunity to watch how different elephant families interact. Depending on where they have reported seeing animals, you will do a game drive through the park. While herbivores like giraffes, wildebeests, and zebras are common throughout the park, predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards are harder to see.
Later, you'll have lunch at the Tarangire River picnic site and take in the scenery of the river and surrounding wildlife. Though they may try to scare you away from your food, small monkeys and baboons are nothing to be alarmed about. You'll go on a game drive after lunch and exit the park at 4:30 pm.
