Day 1

Zanzibar to Tarangire National Park

Zanzibar to Tarangire National Park

Our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Zanzibar at 5:00 a.m., depending on your location. You will then head to the airport for a flight to Arusha, which is expected to land around 9:15 a.m. Once you arrive at Arusha Airport, your guide will be there to welcome you.

From Arusha, you will embark on a 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its expansive elephant herds and ancient baobab trees, among the largest on the continent. You will travel in an open-roof vehicle and immerse yourself in the park's diverse landscape, including seasonal swamps, sweeping savannah, and the lively Tarangire River, home to a rich variety of wildlife.

The park offers a captivating variety of wildlife, including birds, giraffes, impalas, zebras, lions, leopards, elands, warthogs, and elephants. As the day ends, you will head to your lodge for a delightful dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.

Day 2

Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast at 8:30 a.m., you will visit Lake Manyara National Park, which is well-known for its abundance of flamingos and tree-climbing lions (though they are rarely spotted). We will go on a game drive and see many birds. If you're lucky, you might see these well-known lions that climb trees. In addition to doing a game drive and seeing many species, you may visit the hippo pool to get up close and personal with hippos and enjoy the hot spring (buffaloes, wildebeests, warthogs, vultures, eagles, monkeys, etc.)

After a full-day game drive, we’re heading to Farm of Dreams Lodge, where we'll spend the night and have dinner.

Day 3

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will drive to the Serengeti National Park, one of Africa’s premier game parks. Driving through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward the Serengeti National Park, you will begin to experience the vastness of this territory and marvel at the multitude of animal and birdlife while cruising through this acacia-spotted savannah.

You will visit a Maasai village in the Ngorongoro Highlands (optional). You will meet the Elders, warriors, women and children and learn about the culture, beliefs and traditions of Tanzania’s last nomadic community.

The Serengeti is Tanzania's oldest and most popular national park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a year-round destination, and each season has its own special highlight, with the most famous being the annual wildebeest migration, a once-in-a-lifetime experience. You will do a game drive and route before arriving in the Serengeti in time for a half-day game drive.

After breakfast, take an early morning game drive, during which you will view many animals. In the afternoon your driver will set and prepare a table for a full, hot lunch followed by a glass of wine. After lunch, we continue with a game drive until the evening when we drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5

We'll get an early start and head down to the crater bottom for a fantastic morning of animal viewing in one of the most breathtaking locations on the planet. There will be time for a picnic lunch next to the stunning Hippo Lake after the wildlife drive. We will have time for a quick wildlife drive following lunch, after which we will exit the crater and depart the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After that, make your way to the airport to catch the flight from Arusha or Kilimanjaro to Zanzibar, where you'll spend 3 days unwinding with breathtaking vistas.

We will pick you up by boat from Nungwi and begin our cruise by searching for dolphins. Once we find them, you can swim with them as we head towards the Mnemba Conservation Area. Once we reach the area, we can start snorkeling around the coral reefs. If the tide is low, we can also visit the sandbank. After the tour, we will drop you off at the nearest beach to your hotel.

Explore the fascinating world of sea turtles at Mnarani Aquarium in the charming village of Nungwi. You can have a unique opportunity to feed and swim with the turtles in their natural lagoon pond. Additionally, you can learn how the aquarium cares for and rehabilitates sea turtles that have been injured by fishing nets.

Discover a natural tidal pool in the coral rock behind the beach where the turtles live. This pool was built initially to rehabilitate and study marine turtles caught in fishing nets. As the project developed, it also became a sanctuary for baby turtles.

You can purchase some seaweed from the turtles' caregivers to feed them or even get into the pool to swim with them. Here, you can learn all about the rehabilitation project and the measures taken to protect local baby turtles. You will also gain insight into the turtles' life cycle, their diet, and more.
