For this day, we highly recommend an early rise to embark on a game drive during the prime morning hours when wildlife activity peaks, and to witness one of the most stunning sunrises imaginable. Following the exhilarating wildlife encounter, you'll return to camp for breakfast. Next, you'll venture to Ngorongoro, hailed as the Eighth Wonder of the Natural World. Spanning 102 square miles with towering walls reaching 2,000 feet the crater evokes the imagery of Noah's ark and serves as a sanctuary for an array of East Africa's indigenous animals. It stands as one of the rare spots on the entire continent where sightings of black rhinos are possible. Within the crater, a river marshes a soda lake adorned with flocks of flamingos lush forests, and vast grasslands coexist harmoniously. Notably, it is famed for hosting the largest elephants in the world, distinguished by their massive tusks, a testament to the volcanic soil's rich mineral content and the abundance of nourishing grasses.
