Morning nature walk and evening game drive
After an early breakfast, you will set off for an exciting nature walk that will allow you to see various species of animals and birds. This adventurous activity will last a maximum of 2 hours. Afterward, you will return for lunch as you prepare for a Narus Valley game drive. This area is popular with mammals such as lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalos, many antelope species, zebras, and birds.
As the only permanent water point, many animals come to the Narus Valley to drink and feed. It’s where you will find the largest buffalo herds anywhere in Uganda. The chances of spotting big cats hunting are very high. If lucky, you may spot the rare cheetah and aardwolf, too. The evening game drive will last approximately 3 hours, after which you will return to the lodge for dinner, relaxation, and overnight.

Morning game drive in Narus Valley and hotsprings visit in Kidepo
After breakfast, you will head out for the morning game drive in the Narus Valley to see what you could have missed on the previous evening's game drive. This park is also the only place in Uganda where you can see ostriches and cheetahs in their natural habitat, so two game drives here will offer you a great chance to view these beautiful animals. The park has observation points with binoculars.
After about three hours of the morning game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch and a short rest, whereafter you will drive to Kidepo Valley to explore the hot springs. These hot springs are close to the Uganda - Sudan border, and if lucky, you will spot the giant ostriches that are found here but have been seriously poached. There are seasonal rivers on this side, so if it is a rainy season, you might be interrupted for a few hours. You will return to the lodge for dinner and bed.
