2-Day Incredible Trip in Tarangire and Ngorongoro

Tarangire National Park

On this day, you will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha and join other members of your group as you begin your journey to Tarangire National Park. After approximately two hours, you will arrive at the park's entrance, where you will register before starting your first game drive.

During your safari, you will explore the Tarangire plains and have the opportunity to view a variety of wildlife, particularly near the banks of the Tarangire River, which attracts many animals seeking water. Tarangire is renowned for its large herds of elephants, as well as zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, cheetahs, Grant's gazelles, Thompson's gazelles, impalas, and many more.

In the evening, you will proceed to Mto wa Mbu, where you will check in for dinner and an overnight stay at your accommodation.

Ngorongoro Crater

On your final day, you will start very early in the morning, as both small and large cats tend to be more active during this time before the sun gets too hot. You will drive to the Ngorongoro main gate to register and then continue to the crater's rim for a brief stop at the viewpoint. Here, you will take a few moments to admire the stunning views over the crater floor before descending into the crater for an exciting day of game drives.

The crater walls rise 600m (2,000ft) high, creating a natural enclosure that is home to over 30,000 animals, including the Big Five. During your game drive, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, topis, elands, jackals, hyenas and buffaloes. With a bit of luck, you might also spot the elusive leopard or the rare black rhino.

Later in the afternoon, after an enjoyable day of game driving, you will be transferred back to Arusha.
