Day 1

Nairobi- Masai Mara National Reserve

On this first day and the beginning day of your classic safari, your driver will meet you at the airport or Nairobi Hotel and brief you about the entire safari, and then embark on your journey to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve which is approximately a drive of 5 hours. You'll pass through the Great Rift Valley Escarpment as you en route to Masai Mara Game Reserve and make a stop for photography and scenic views of the Escarpment which stretches from the Middle East in the north to Mozambique in the south. The area is geologically active and features volcanoes, hot springs, and geysers. You'll arrive in Masai Mara in time for check-in, have lunch, and take some rest. Later, head out for an afternoon game drive through the park in search of the Lion, Cheetah, Elephant, Buffalo, and other members of the Big Five plus other animals till sunset.

Day 2

You will spend the entire day at the reserve on a shared morning, afternoon, and evening game drives, searching for wild animals. Mara is the land of African legend, where lions, elephants, giraffes, zebra, and a variety of gazelles are abundant throughout the park. Cheetahs and leopards are regularly seen, but less frequently, rhinos. The annual wildebeest migration, one of nature's wildlife spectacles, occurs in the Mara from July to September. When traveling during this timeframe, big animals and their predators are abundant. In addition, several species of bee-eaters, the flying rainbow that tops the list of birds found in the Mara, can be spotted.
You can carry a picnic lunch or have lunch at the camp.

Day 3

On your last day, dedicate the entire day exploring the vast landscapes of Masai mara. Your safari guide will take the entire day to exploring the vast landscapes of Masai mara. Your safari guide will take you to different areas of the reserve, maximizing your chances of witnessing the diverse wildlife and possibly the famous big five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino). You will also get to see various bird species and experience the incredible beauty of the savannah
After lunch, you have an option of visiting Maasai village at an extra cost who you will see around the parks borders. In the evening, you will return to the camp for your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4

Masai Mara- Lake Nakuru National Park

There will be a pre-dawn game viewing session or an optional hot air balloon safari at an extra cost before returning for breakfast and check out for your departure to Lake Nakuru National Park. You will arrive at lake Nakuru on time for lunch before embarking on afternoon game drive, where you will explore the diverse habitats, including the famous alkaline lake, woodland and grassland. Keep an eye out for the parks renowned resident rhinos as well as lions, giraffes, buffalos and various species. But the flamingoes, of course, have always been the main attraction. At times there may be almost 2 million flamingoes in the residence, forming a stunningly beautiful deep pink band around the edge of the lakeshore. Return to your accommodation for relaxing evening and dinner.

Day 5

You'll wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast, then afterwards Check out and depart from the lodge. Leave Lake Nakuru for another long drive to Lake Naivasha. It is the highest and the most beautiful of the Rift Valley lakes. At 1910m (6200ft), the water is fresh and the lake is fringed with dense clumps of papyrus (ancient Egyptian once used this to make paper). Kingfishers use the papyrus as a perch while herons hide in it while searching for food. Naivasha is yet another area popular for bird watching (over 400 species have been recorded). It is also a favorite weekend retreat for Nairobi residents, who come here to sail, water ski and fish. There are no crocodiles in the lake as the water is too cold for them, due to the altitude but there are a number of hippos. Along the lakeshore, vineyards produce grapes for the country's fledgeling wine industry. You will arrive, relax and have lunch and go for a game drive and also go for boat riding (optional).
