Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha
Enjoy your breakfast in Lake Manyara National Park before exploring the park. Take in the stunning lake views and observe elephants roaming in the woodlands. Make sure to visit the famous Manyara hippo pool, where numerous hippos gather from dawn until dusk. After the game drive, transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your return flight home or onward journey.
The park offers a great view of the 400m (1,300ft) deep Great Rift Valley. This tear in the earth came into existence 22 to 25 million years ago when movement in a weak area of the earth's crust led to the formation of a rift thousands of kilometers long throughout East Africa. The valley is so enormous it can be seen from outer space and has many unique landscapes that attract many different animals. Besides being home to Lake Manyara, you can also find dense rainforests here with hundreds of troops of monkeys and many birds.
