Masai Mara National Reserve
Enjoy a full day at this famous reserve searching for wild game, with an option to enjoy a balloon safari. You can carry a picnic lunch or have lunch at the camp. A visit to local Massai villages is also an option.
The Mara is the land of African legend. Lions are abundant throughout the park, as are elephants, giraffes, and a variety of gazelle species and zebras. Cheetahs and leopards are also regularly seen, along with rhinos (though less commonly). The annual wildebeest migration, one of nature's few remaining wildlife spectacles, occurs in the Mara from July to September, when the big animals and their predators are present in abundance. Several species of bee-eater, the flying rainbow that tops the list of the Mara's birds, can be found here. Along with the wildlife, the Masai Mara is also home to many members of the colorful Maasai community, who may be seen around the borders of the park.
