Lake Ndutu is a popular game viewing area in Ndutu, where large herds of animals congregate. The lake is an important water supply for wildlife and shares a basin with nearby Lake Masek, which is located immediately east of Ndutu in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Ngorongoro Crater

You will depart Ndutu at 6:00 a.m. with your packed meals and go to the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. This vast area is home to a wide variety of East African species, including the rare black rhino. You will spend 5 to 6 hours touring the crater, which covers 260 square kilometers and is around 20 kilometers in circumference. You will eat lunch in the crater before heading to your Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
