Transfer from Kigali to Volcanoes National Park

Upon meeting your tour guide at your hotel in Kigali, you will be transferred in a comfortable 4x4 safari vehicle to the Kigali Genocide Museum to pay your respects to the victims of the 1994 Rwandan Genocide against the Tutsi. Afterward, you will depart from the vibrant capital and begin your journey northwest. The scenic drive takes approximately 2.5 hours, passing through picturesque rolling hills bustling markets, and roadside towns, as you make your way to the breathtaking Volcanoes National Park. This remarkable park is the site of Dian Fossey's pioneering mountain gorilla research.

Gorilla Trekking Tour in Bwindi/Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

After an early breakfast, you will transfer to the ranger station for a Gorilla Trekking Briefing. Here, you will be informed about the dos and don’ts while interacting with the gorillas. Following the briefing, you will be accompanied by an experienced senior ranger guide as you embark on a hike into the forest in search of the majestic gorillas. Once located, you will spend one hour with them, observing these gentle giants at close range (within 10 meters) in their natural habitat. This intimate experience offers an unparalleled opportunity to witness the gorillas' behaviors and interactions. After a leisurely breakfast, you will begin your transfer back to Kigali, Rwanda. As you leave, the scenic beauty of the Rwandan countryside will unfold before you. The journey will take you through rolling hills, lush green landscapes, and picturesque villages, providing several opportunities to stop for photos along the way. You’ll have time to stretch your legs and capture stunning images of Rwanda’s breathtaking scenery.

Along the route, your guide will offer a stop at scenic viewpoints where you can take in the panoramic views of the hills and valleys, which are often referred to as the "Land of a Thousand Hills." This is the perfect moment to snap some photographs and appreciate Rwanda’s natural beauty.

As you approach Kigali, your driver-guide will confirm your preferred drop-off location. If time allows, you may also make a brief stop to explore a local market or a landmark in the city before continuing to your final destination.
