Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, we hit the road to experience the wonderful Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of Africa. More precisely termed a caldera, this is the best place for game viewing in Tanzania. An enclosed ecosystem, the caldera is home to some 25,000 large mammals.
Descending the bumpy, winding track toward the caldera floor, we note our passage through several different climactic zones until, 600m down, we roam out onto the broad expanse. We can expect to see buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, elephant, reedbuck, and Thomson's gazelle. We may spot predators like lion and cheetah lounging in the grass or in action, and some of the more than 500 bird species that inhabit this area. With a little bit of luck, we might catch a glimpse of the endangered black rhino through the grass.
After our extensive game drive within the crater, we return to our carefully selected quality tented camp in Serengeti National Park.

Full Day in Serengeti National Park
We dedicate this day to exploring Serengeti, the land of the Maasai, the community that has inhabited this area for millennia. The Serengeti hosts the world's last great terrestrial migration, that of the wildebeest and zebra. This awe-inspiring circular pilgrimage from north to south to west and back again is season dependent, passing through the terrain where we safari.
On our Serengeti safari, we hope to spot many creatures. After our picnic lunch, we continue to explore the park, and our guide, with his intimate knowledge of the terrain, will lead us to extraordinary landscapes where we will see abundant animals in their habitat.
After an extensive game drive, we head back to our tented camp for dinner and overnight.

Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha
After breakfast, we hit the road to Lake Manyara National Park. Manyara, known for its namesake lake, which covers some 70 percent of the park's area, is famed for its tree-climbing lions. Our game drive takes us to the lakeshore, where, while viewing the thousands of feeding flamingos, we can hope to spot monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalos, elephants, and, with some luck, lions lounging in the trees.
The park is known for its diverse landscapes, including open grassy plains, primate-filled woodlands, and baobab-dotted cliffs. Animals gather at the river, and giraffe, bushbuck, and hartebeest are often seen. The park is also home to buffalo, zebra, and wildebeest, all of whom are closely attended by a range of predators like Simba, the lion king, and his cousin, the leopard.
After lunch and an extensive game drive, we head back to Arusha.
