Day 1

Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Arusha to Serengeti National Park

After having an early breakfast, you will be picked up from your lodge in Arusha for the drive to the world's most famous national park, the Serengeti. The drive itself, although long, is spectacular! You will drive up the crater highlands, making a quick stop at the rim for an out-of-this-world view of Ngorongoro Crater. This will be an unforgettable moment for anyone seeing it for the first time.

As you progress further into the Serengeti, you will understand why the name means 'endless plains' in the local language. The park covers 18,000 square kilometers (6,900 square miles), and for most of it, the plains will stretch to the horizon, defying your senses and perception of distances. It is the home of the great migration, with 2 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and all kinds of antelopes, including the abundant impalas and Thomson's gazelles. As for big cats and large predators, it is the place to look out for lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas.

Day 2

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

We suggest waking up very early to enjoy an exciting morning game drive when the animals are most active and to witness an unforgettable sunrise.

After the game drive, return to camp for a satisfying brunch before continuing to Ngorongoro, known as the 8th Wonder of the Natural World. The crater spans 265 square kilometers (102 square miles) and boasts towering walls 600 meters (2,000 feet) high, creating a natural Noah's ark housing a diverse array of East African wildlife. It is a rare spot where you can spot black rhinos, and the concentration of African wildlife here is unparalleled on the continent. The crater features a river, swamps, a soda lake teeming with flamingos, forests, and open plains. It is renowned for its large elephants with massive tusks, attributed to the area's nutrient-rich volcanic soil and grasses.
