Arusha to Lake Manyara

We will pick you up at 8:30 am from your hotel in Arusha and depart for Lake Manyara National Park with a picnic lunch for a full-day game drive. As you enter the national park, lush forests of acacia and mahogany trees begin to set the mood for what is waiting ahead. The game drive will last until the evening, with a small break for a picnic lunch. During the game drive, watch out for buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, baboons, and blue monkeys.

Another spectacle of Lake Manyara National Park is its tree-climbing lions; however, spotting them is a game of luck. In the right season, the shoreline turns pink, and millions of flamingos flock there. After the game drive, you will return to your camp or lodge, where a delicious dinner awaits you.

Serengeti national park

After breakfast, we head towards the Serengeti National Park via the beautiful, high-lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa - the Serengeti National Park - with its endless plains rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. It features the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and attracts wildlife that represents most of the Serengeti's species. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park.

Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro crater

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park, witnessing the diverse wildlife of this iconic park. Later, depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying a picnic lunch along the way. The Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest collapsed volcanic crater, spans 14 kilometers of breathtaking natural beauty. Surrounded by extinct volcanoes, its floor hosts over 30,000 animals, including lions, elephants, and rhinos, with watering holes scattered across. End the day with a hearty dinner and a restful night at your accommodation.

Ngorongoro crater

After an early breakfast, descend to the crater floor for a 5-hour game drive. You can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes and many birds. The birds seen here include eagles, vultures, and flamingos in the crater lake, as well as storks, bats, giant vultures, sacred ibis, kori bustards, blacksmith plovers, long-necked herons, and cattle eagles. After the picnic lunch at the beautiful Hippo Pool, you will begin a steep ascend to the top exit of the crater.

The day will end with a 2-hour drive to your accommodation in Karatu. A freshly made, delicious dinner will be prepared for you at your chosen accommodation. All these days of the safari will leave you quite tired, and a good rest is essential. The next day, you will begin the last leg of your safari.

After breakfast, begin your day with a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions and diverse wildlife. After breakfast, depart for Kikuletwa Hot Springs, a serene and picturesque spot known for its crystal-clear waters surrounded by lush vegetation. Take a refreshing dip in the natural spring or relax by the water, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere.

Next, visit Materuni Village, where you’ll learn about the local culture and explore the stunning Materuni Waterfalls. Experience a guided tour of a coffee plantation, discovering the traditional process of coffee production, from bean to cup. Enjoy a freshly brewed cup of coffee made from locally grown beans.

Afterward, we will drive you back to either your hotel or the airport, depending on your departure time, bringing an end to your unforgettable Tanzanian adventure.
