From Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park

Early in the morning at 5:00 AM after a refreshing breakfast, our driver will pick you up from your hotel and drive to Mikumi National Park. A packed lunchbox is included. The drive will take you about 6 hours to be in Mikumi.

You will arrive at 11:00 AM and start on a game drive. After lunch, you'll proceed with an afternoon game drive. This park is home to elephants, lions, wild dogs, zebras, hyenas, buffalos, wildebeest, elands, hartebeest, crocodiles, lizards, and other residents. As you explore different parts of the park, diverse ecosystems, range from open grasslands and acacia woodlands to rocky outcrops and seasonal waterholes. Each area offers a unique glimpse into the rich biodiversity of Mikumi. You can also observe the more than 300 species of birds found in this park.

In the evening, you will arrive at your comfortable accommodation, Mikumi Cottage/Mikumi Bandas inside the park to unwind after a thrilling day of exploration and enjoy a delectable dinner.

Mikumi National Park to Udzungwa Mountains National Park + Sanje Waterfalls

You'll enjoy an early morning/sunrise game drive at 6:00 AM. You'll return for breakfast, then continue with the morning wildlife viewing. This is the best time for wildlife viewing as it's the time when most of the killings take place.

Our professional guide is always happy to share lots of hidden secrets with you about Mikumi, such as why Mikumi shall never die, how Darwin's survival of the fittest theory applies to Mikumi, and much more.

Later at 8:00 AM, you'll drive to Udzungwa Mountain with a visit to Sanje Waterfall with a beautiful, scenic view. Take a refreshing dip in the cool waters, a unique experience offered by this park, and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the fertile Kilombero Valley, known for its agricultural significance. After having full enjoyment at Udzungwa Mountain National Park, you'll descend to the Bastian Camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Visit Maasai Village and Return Back to Dar es Salaam

Before breakfast at 6:30 AM, you'll experience a tremendous early-morning visit to a Maasai village near Mikumi National Park. Here, you will learn about their lifestyle, enjoy dances, and even buy some Maasai gifts for your family.

After having fully experienced the Maasai tour, you'll have breakfast. Later, you'll start driving back to Dar es Salaam at 10:00 AM, unwinding after a day filled with adventure and natural beauty.
