Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, our professional guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Arusha and drive you to Tarangire National Park. You will arrive at the gate around 10:00 a.m. Once you arrive at the park, you will immediately proceed on a thrilling game drive, where you will encounter a variety of animals such as elephants, dik-diks, leopards, zebras, giraffes, lions, ostriches, and many more. You will then take a break at a beautiful picnic site and indulge in a scrumptious lunch. After that, you will continue on a second game drive, where you will witness the captivating wildlife. At around 4:00 p.m., you will begin your departure from the national park to Karatu, where you will spend the night at The Retreat at Ngorongoro to prepare for an early morning descent to the crater.

Full game drive in Ngorongoro Crater then go to Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, we will proceed to Ngorongoro Crater, as it is the best time to spot animals. On this day, we will enjoy a game drive around the crater and stop for a picnic lunch at a small lake within the park. The lake is home to many hippos and migratory birds. Due to the animal “oasis” created within the crater, there is a high possibility of spotting every member of the "Big 5", comprising some of the strongest animals in Africa – the ferocious lion, the giant elephant, the stealthy leopard, the charging rhino, and the mighty water buffalo. Within the amazing crater, you can expect to view the playful zebra, lumbering hippo, swift wildebeest, and cackling hyenas. In addition, there are flocks of graceful flamingos along the soda lake, while hungry hawks and vultures circle the sky in search of their next meal of discarded carcasses. Later in the evening, you will depart and proceed to Serengeti for an overnight at Serengeti Heritage Luxury Camp.

Full game drive at Serengeti National Park ecosystem

After breakfast, you will do a game drive in Serengeti National Park with your lunch box. Follow the animal migration in the Northern Serengeti. You can see wildebeest, zebra, topi, hartebeest, eland, antelope, hyena, and a variety of birds singing in the trees. You can also view the beauty of landscape and nature. After lunch, you will continue with a game drive en route to Northern Serengeti for an overnight stay at Baobab Serengeti Camp North.

Full game drive at Northern Serengeti

The Northern hills are covered in large acacia trees, which support many elephants, giraffes, antelopes, buffaloes, and the carnivores that prey on them. It's a fascinating opportunity to see a large number of Africa's most iconic animals in a relatively short amount of time.

From here, we'll proceed to the Bologonja and Kogatende areas, where we will arrive at the Mara River. Home to large numbers of hippos and Nile crocodiles, the Mara River is the last major obstacle between the wildebeest migration and the relative safety of the Masai Mara. If you're patient and have luck on your side, you may even witness the death-defying crossing, where wildebeests and zebras brave the river's currents and crocodiles in an attempt to reach safety on the opposite bank.

Later in the evening, we return to our accommodation for an overnight stay before we commence our journey back to Arusha the following day.
