Rest and sleep in Entebbe. Depend on your time of arrival, there is an option to go to Mabamba Swamp for a unique shoebill stork tour (half day with transport). This trip includes a boat ride on Lake Victoria, followed by a 1-1.5 viewing of shoebill and lunch in the nearby Nkima Lodge.

Day 2

Rhino trekking and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Rhino trekking and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Drive through the Buganda toward drier plains of Nakasongola and tall jungle trees of Budongo, the largest forest reserve in Uganda. We first stop in the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary (2 hours) to see the rhinos from up close on foot. Then we proceed to our private bush camp in the northern part of Murchison Falls in the evening, where we enjoy stunning sunset and sundowner. Here we begin our exquisite private wildlife safari. Murchison Falls is Uganda's largest park - plenty to explore here. We stay in our private camp with no other tourists around, with an opportunity to explore the area on foot.

Day 3

Wildlife safari in Murchison Falls

We go on an early morning walk exploring the Nyamsika area (2.5-4 hours) with plentiful wildlife and stunning scenery with dry riverbed snaking through the savannah, Borassus, and acacia woodlands. After midday rest, we continue exploring the vast plains around the Nile delta with bounty of wildlife. We return to Nyamsika to enjoy beautiful sunset and views with a sundowner.

Accommodation: We stay in our private camp with no other tourists around. Spacious tents (3+ x 3+ meters) accommodate full size mattresses/beds, the camp is equipped with gazebos for resting, dining areas, hammocks, mini library, bush bar with cold drinks, toilet, shower, wash basins. Professional staff (manager, cook, waiter, attendants) take care of all guest needs.

Day 4

After another walk in the morning, we embark on an exciting boat ride to the bottom of the falls while seeing plenty of elephants, giraffes, crocs, hippos and other animals and the shores. Then it is time for a brisk 45 min walk through the river jungle to the top of these powerful falls. After lunch break, we return to our 2nd private camp at Pendero or Tangi for rest. Evening option for a shorter walk or a game drive depending on your desire.

We continue exploring the area walking around Pendero or Northern Nyamsika area with excellent views and wildlife around, including herds of elephants common in the area.

Transfer to Crater lakes

Transfer to Crater lakes

After a breakfast overlooking Nyamsika valley, we proceed to Crater Lakes area alongside the Albertine Rift, stopping first at Budongo forest – Uganda’s largest forest reserve – to see the chimpanzees. We arrive to Crater Lakes early evening and relax with stunning views of lakes, Kibale forest, and Rwenzori Mountains around.

We explore the Crater Lakes area, which includes seeing several lakes, enjoying beautiful views of Rwenzori Mountains. Monkeys (black and red colobus, blue monkey, and others) can be seen in the area forests. Swimming is safe in one of the lakes if desired.
