Nairobi - Masai Mara

Pick up after breakfast at 0800hrs from your hotel and depart for Masai Mara National Reserve. The drive will be full of beautiful sceneries displayed from the historic architecture of buildings within the city and also the beautiful green capture of vegetation along the highway. We will drive through the Rift Valley escarpments via the Mai-Mahiu - Narok highway viewpoint. Here, you will have a spectacular view of the Great Rift Valley and its vast scenery. Along the highway is the Old Roman Catholic church built by the Italian prisoners who constructed the highway.

We will have a late afternoon game drive in the breathtaking game reserve, which offers spectacular wildlife viewing and epic, unforgettable moments in search of the Big 5 (buffalo, elephant, lion, leopard, and rhino). This is also a good time to spot predators hunting for prey since they hunt in low temperatures. Dinner and overnight will be at a tented camp.

Masai Mara Game Drive

Wake up early for a full-day game drive in search of the Big 5. We will get to view various wildlife and bird species with a blend of fauna within the range of the Mara ecosystem. Other species of animals in the park include the Maasai giraffe, Thompson's gazelle, cheetah, zebra, wildebeest, hyena, etc. The reserve is also home to various bird species, such as the secretary bird, ostrich, marabou stork, etc. Your day will be filled with plenty of game viewing and animal searching. Return to your tented camp for dinner and overnight.

Masai Mara - Naivasha

Wake up to an amazing chant of the thousand bird species in the reserve as you enjoy the morning bliss as the sun ushers in a new day for a spectacular safari experience. Drive through the vast grassland heading for Naivasha, checking in at the hotel late in the evening, where you can relax after the long drive. Naivasha is richly filled with attractions, ranging from Lake Naivasha, where you can enjoy a boat ride and Hell's Gate National Park, with a variety of activities to participate in. Dinner and overnight at the tented camp.

Hell's Gate - Nairobi

Check out of the hotel after breakfast and head for Lake Naivasha for an early boat ride, after which you will visit Hell's Gate National Park. The boat ride is optional.

The park is favourable for biking in the wild, climbing Fisher's Tower and driving. Go through the gorges such as the Ol Norway Gorge and caves, spotting wildlife like warthogs, zebras, giraffes, and different species of birds. At times, some of the big cats can be spotted roaming. The park is famous for inspiring the award-winning Walt Disney film The Lion King, which got its concept from the park. With the Ol Karia Geothermal Station inside the park, it boasts of being one of a kind in Africa and has a spa pool reputed to be therapeutic.

NB: Bikes and climbing gear are available for hire. Upon arrival, you must request that they be organized.

Return to Nairobi, where you will be dropped off at your hotel.
