Scenic Road Trip to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

You'll be picked up from your guest house in Entebbe/Kampala. You'll have a short briefing about your safari. You'll drive to the western region of Uganda which is rich in culture, famous for the Ankole long-horned cattle, and the most energetic, hardworking Kiga people that inhabit the Kigezi hills. Throughout this long drive, you will have several interesting stops with a hot lunch en route. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the edge of the forest.

Ultimate Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After your early breakfast (7:00 am), you will have a short drive to the UWA briefing center where you will be taken through the dos and don’ts while tracking gorillas. After you have been allocated a gorilla family in a group of 8 pax, you will be led by the armed ranger guides off the forest to search for the gorillas. When gorillas have been located, you will have one full hour of viewing them as they go on with their daily lives at a distance of 7-10 meters. After gorilla tracking, you'll drive to Lake Bunyonyi for a night on the terraces of Lake Bunyonyi. You'll have dinner and an overnight stay.

Transfer from Lake Bunyonyi to Entebbe

After your early breakfast, you will depart from Lake Bunyonyi (8:00 am departure time) as you head to the central part of Uganda. This is a long drive of over 9 hours. However, it is action-packed with a lot of scenic and photographic stops en route. You will have your hot lunch in Mbarara. Later, you'll embark on the journey to the equator where you will pause for a few minutes to take some photos. You'll be dropped off at Entebbe or the airport in case you have a flight on the same day. End of the tour.
