Upon arrival to Entebbe international airport, you will be welcomed by our representative who will brief you about the safari and then start the journey to Queen Elizabeth national park in western Uganda. On the way you will have a stopover at the Equator in Kayabwe where you will take photos, buy craft souvenirs and continue the journey with another stopover at Igongo culture center for en-route lunch. After Lunch you will proceed to Queen Elizabeth national park with great Scenic views of Rwenzori Mountains, Crater Lakes, and tea plantations among others. Upon arrival in the park you will continue to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Morning game drive and lion tracking experience and afternoon boat cruise
After an early morning breakfast, your tour guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for a morning game drive or lion tracking experience in Kasenyi plains. During the game drive you will have great views of the sunrise, big four mammals which are lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, other animals like waterbucks, bushbucks, kobs, views of different bird species among others. After the game drive you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch you will drive to the landing site for an incredible boat cruise along Kazinga channel which is 40km long channel that connects Lake George and Lake Edward. During the boat trip which lasts for about 2 hours you will be able to view large hippos and crocodiles in water, buffaloes, elephants, water birds like stork, cormorants, among others. After the boat cruise you will go for an evening game drive where you will be able to view some of the animals that you missed in the morning and later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
After an early morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with our tour guide to transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park which is most visited gorilla destination because it harbors half of the world’s mountain gorillas. The journey takes 3 to 4 hours’ drive and on the way you will have a stopover at Ishasha sector in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth national park. Ishasha sector if famously known for the tree climbing lions which will be viewed lying up in acacia/fig tree branches during the game drive. Ishasha sector also harbors other animals like elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, Uganda kobs among others. After the game derive you will have lunch where after you will proceed the journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park, upon arrival you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park
After an early morning breakfast, you will carry packed lunch and your tour guide will pick up you and head to the headquarters for briefing about the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking. After you will be allocated a gorilla family to trek and a park guide who has knowledge about the gorillas and well conversant with the trails in the jungle. Gorilla trekking takes about 30 minutes to 8 hours depending on where the gorillas are located because they like to move in search of food. Once the gorillas are seen you will be allowed to spend 1 hour with them in their habitat which gives you an opportunity to see them carry out their daily activities like feeding, playing and observe their behaviors. After the one hour encounter with the gorillas you will go back to the park headquarters where you will be awarded a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking, meet up with your tour guide to transfer to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for canoeing
After an early morning breakfast, you will meet up with your tour guide to transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale district. Lake Bunyonyi is the deepest freshwater lake in Uganda. The lake is locally translated as a place of little birds because it harbors a range of bird species and 29 main Islands. The journey to Lake Bunyonyi takes about 3 hours’ drive and upon arrival you will go for an amazing canoe ride on the punishment island, view bird species like slender billed baglafetch, African kingfisher, homesteads among others. After the canoe ride you will drive to the lodge for lunch.
Community tour, after lunch you will go for an interesting community tour where you will visit the Batwa and Bakiga people who stay around the lake. During community tour you will be able to learn about culture, way of living, history, their farmlands, homesteads, listen to their ancient stories. After the community tour you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Departure to Kampala
After a relaxed early morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kampala. On the way you will have en-route lunch in Mbarara town and then continue the journey to Kampala where you will reach early evening. Upon arrival your tour guide will drop you off at Entebbe international airport for your departure or drop off at any place of advice.
