One of our favorite places to search for wildlife in Kenya is the Masai Mara National Reserve. The wildlife here is truly incredible, featuring big cats like lions, leopards, and cheetahs, along with elephants as some of the main highlights. You’ll likely also encounter giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, hyenas, and impalas. Don't forget your binoculars, as over 500 bird species have been recorded in the reserve. It is also known for its stunning savannah landscapes, dotted with iconic acacia trees.

Arusha - Tarangire National Park
You'll be impressed with Tarangire National Park. Most visitors are captivated by the distinct shapes of the baobab trees silhouetted against the sky, creating a fairy-tale African landscape. Many also remember the elephants that roam in family bands throughout the park. If you're lucky, you'll encounter the big cats—especially lions, but also cheetahs and leopards—that are often seen here.
