Ngorongoro Crater safari

Start your day early to ensure a timely descent into the renowned Ngorongoro Crater. As you enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you'll be captivated by the stunning scenery. The view from the crater's edge offers a breathtaking sight of this natural wonder—an approximately 3 million-year-old, 20-square-kilometer volcanic caldera, the largest unbroken one in the world. With its natural boundaries, the crater hosts an incredible array of wildlife, including the Big Five and the rare black rhino. After an afternoon of safari, return to Ngare Lodge for a well-deserved rest.

Maasai Culture - Transfer to Arusha area

Departure day…

All good things end! Enjoy your last meal at the lodge prior to checking out, ready for your journey to Arusha. After meeting your driver-guide at the reception, you will head off on an easy two-hour drive back to where it all started; heart and camera filled with memories of your African safari adventure.

While on the way back to Arusha you will visit a Maasai village for a cultural tour; As soon as you are in sight, they will start performing their traditional Adumu dance. Bouncing on the spot, they sang a deep guttural base. Men take it in turn to jump high into the sky like straight-legged bean polls in unison with the chanting until they break the low-toned chant with a high-pitched shriek. Drop off in Arusha area.
