You’ll be impressed with Tarangire National Park. Most visitors love the distinct shapes of the baobab trees silhouetted against the sky, which make this place feel like a fairy-tale African landscape. Visitors also remember the elephants that roam in family bands throughout the park. If you’re lucky, you might encounter big cats—especially lions, but also cheetahs and leopards. There’s a good chance you’ll spot wildebeest, giraffe, hippo, buffalo, and zebra as well.

A full day in Serengeti National Park offers an incredible wildlife experience. Start with a sunrise game drive to catch predators in action, followed by a bush breakfast. Spend the midday relaxing at your lodge or camp, perhaps taking a dip in the pool. In the afternoon, head out on another game drive to explore the park’s diverse ecosystems and abundant wildlife. As the sun sets, you may have the chance to spot nocturnal animals as they begin their activities. It’s a day filled with adventure and the beauty of nature.

Where the northern plains of Tanzania meet the escarpment of the Rift Valley, Lake Manyara is a wonderful place to spend a day on safari. The highlight of the day may be getting up close and personal with the elephants that have made this park famous, along with observing many baboons and one of Africa's rare populations of tree climbing lions. Amidst the forests at the foot of the escarpment and the lake that gives the park its name, you can enjoy the rich birdlife and the chance to witness predators ambushing their prey.
