You’ll begin the safari being picked up from the accommodations you arranged after booking your safari with us. Materuni Waterfalls is an intriguing destination, located just 30 minutes from the bustling city of Moshi in the lush foothills of Kilimanjaro. Here, the Chaga community warmly welcomes visitors to experience their deep connection to coffee making, interwoven with farming and a variety of crops. You will learn about the rich history of the Chaga people, one of over 120 ethnic groups in Tanzania. For coffee lovers, this is a unique opportunity to craft your own cup while engaging with the Chaga community in their traditional coffee practices.

Day 2

Maasai Village

Immerse yourself in Maasai culture by visiting the local Engikaret Maasai community, made up of 32 villages in Longido District and located off the typical safari route. You'll have the chance to explore not just one village but also get a deeper understanding of the community's daily life, including their dams, BBQ areas, school, church, and more. Participate in activities designed to teach you about their culture, visit their homes and boma, and walk through the community to see the challenges they face and the progress made through their NGO projects. One of the most engaging parts of the experience is the storytelling session, where you'll learn more about their traditions and have the opportunity to ask questions. This is an invitation to connect with the Maasai, one of Tanzania's most well-known ethnic groups among the country's 120 tribes.

Tarangire National Park will leave a lasting impression. Many visitors are captivated by the distinctive baobab trees silhouetted against the sky, giving the park a magical, fairy-tale quality. The elephants, often seen in large family groups, are another highlight, roaming freely throughout the park. If you’re fortunate, you may also spot the park’s big cats—lions, cheetahs, and leopards. You can also be fairly certain of seeing wildebeest, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, and zebras, making it a fantastic wildlife-viewing experience.

Arusha - Lake Manyara National Park - Arusha

Where the northern plains of Tanzania meet the Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara offers a wonderful place to spend a day on safari. The highlight of your visit may be the chance to get up close to the elephants that have made this park famous, as well as spotting many baboons and one of Africa's few lion populations known for spending much of their time in the trees. Amidst the forests at the foot of the escarpment and near the lake that gives the park its name, you'll also enjoy rich birdlife and have the chance to witness predators ambushing their prey.

After the safari, we will drive to Arusha, where you will be dropped off at your accommodations (cost not included). Please ensure that your accommodation details are provided to our team in advance.
