Itinerary For a Day Trip:

We depart Moshi Town for Marangu gate for the necessary formalities before beginning our trek. The hiking trail begins by ascending a beautiful, tropical rain forest. At the upper edge of the forest line, we have the opportunity to see blue monkeys, Black and White Colabus Monkeys, The trail then widens to expose beautiful hillsides until we reach Mandara hut. Then we will descend town to the Marangu gate.

Also Note:
The Marangu route is a classic trek to the top of Kilimanjaro. However, it has the least scenic variety of all routes (ascent and descent are done on the same path) and is the most crowded for that reason. Marangu is offered as a five to six day private climb to the Summit. There are 60 bunk beds each at Mandara and Kibo Huts, and 120 bunk beds at Horombo Hut. Guests are supplied with mattresses and pillows, but sleeping bags are still required.
