After pick-up at your hotel, the adventure begins in the classic way generations of travelers have explored this wild corner of Zimbabwe. Zambezi and Chamabondo National Parks showcase the riverine forests and wide savannah that have long defined the region.
This 10:00 am Zambezi NP game drive follows old off-road routes along the river, offering sweeping views and frequent wildlife sightings.
Around 1 pm, lunch awaits at a panoramic lookout restaurant with commanding views of the gorge, the bridge, and the river, lunch, is at your own expense.
At 3 pm, you continue with the sunset safari deep into Chamabondo, following time-tested tracks in search of elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, and, with luck, cats. As the sun sinks, the landscape glows in warm colors before you return to your hotel around 6:15 pm. An optional extension to a moonlight safari is available for those who wish to carry the day’s rhythm into the night.
