3-Day Mara Masai Budget Group-Joining Safari

Nairobi to Masai Mara

We will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the meeting point for the start of the tour. Since this is a budget group-joining tour, we will wait for the rest of the group members. The scheduled departure time is about 8 am. When everyone is at the meeting point, and the Jeeps are organized, we will start our great safari to the Masai Mara.

The drive takes us through the floor of the Rift Valley to the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. We will arrive at Lenchada Camp (or similar) in time for lunch. We will check in and relax during the afternoon.

At 16h00, we set out for our first game drive in the Masai Mara ecosystem. Our driver-guide will take you to where animal sightings occur in real time. You can stand and watch the landscapes and animals from the open roof.

At sunset, we will return for dinner and overnight at the camp.

Masai Mara

On this beautiful day, we wake up early and enjoy breakfast. At around 06h30, we set out for a full-day game drive in the reserve. The Mara is the northern extension of the Serengeti, and its rolling plains are home to hundreds of plains game and predators. With a stop at the river where the magnificent wildebeest migration occurs, we will enjoy our lunch boxes.

After lunch, we will have a game drive en route to the camp, arriving in the evening. We will spend the evening around the campfire under the starry skies as we reminisce about the great day out in the wilderness.

Dinner and overnight are at the camp.

Masai Mara to Nairobi

After breakfast, we will take you to the Maasai village for a cultural visit (optional). You will learn about the livelihood of the Maasai community and their culture. This costs extra and can be organized with the driver.

We then start our drive back to Nairobi, stopping for lunch before arriving in the early evening. We hope you had a great safari experience full of wonderful memories.
