Begin your adventure with a 7:40 am transfer from O.R. Tambo International Airport. Enjoy a 7-hour drive to Phalaborwa, a quaint town on Kruger’s border. On arrival, meet your Wild Planet guide and enjoy a personal lunch at a local restaurant.
Entry into Kruger takes us through the Phalaborwa gate where we take our first safari drive to our first camp, Letaba. Traverse Mopani and Bushwillow woodlands, ideal for observing elephants and buffalo. Arrive at Letaba around 6:00 pm, where we settle in and enjoy the sunset by the Letaba River.
Along the riverbanks, Letaba camp offers stunning views and amenities- a Park Shop, swimming pool, restaurant, and The Great Elephant Hall—a museum for Kruger’s colossal elephants. Your accommodation for the next 2 nights is a charming Rondawel, featuring two single beds, air conditioning, a private washroom, and patio.
Tonight relish a traditional South African dinner cooked over an open fire, immersing yourself in the sounds of the African bush.

We rise early for an thrilling morning game drive. Our journey charts a course along the Letaba River, known for hosting herds of Buffalo, Elephants, and the elusive Leopards. The route showcases Hippos, Crocodiles, and the diverse antelope species. A breakfast awaits at a charming picnic site, offering a scenic pause before our leisurely drive back to Letaba, allowing for additional wildlife sightings along the way.
Upon return to camp, explore the available facilities, providing a perfect sanctuary during the midday heat. A delectable lunch at camp sets the stage for an afternoon charged with anticipation. Our second game drive of the day holds the promise of more extraordinary wildlife encounters, ensuring a riveting experience in the heart of Kruger.

We begin with an early sunrise drive tracing the Letaba River. This area boasts an elusive pride of lions, recognized for their shy presence. Then we head back for breakfast.
After breakfast, it's time to bid farewell to Letaba as we head south towards Satara. Our journey takes us through savannah grasslands, offering encounters with sizable herds of Zebra and Wildebeest. Upon reaching Satara, the afternoon is marked by a delightful lunch, providing a moment to unwind before we continue with an afternoon drive in the surrounding area.
Nestled in Kruger's grasslands, Satara has numerous grazing animals. The camp provides a waterhole, allowing for wildlife observation without leaving camp. Your accommodation for two nights is the charming Rondawel, equipped with modern comforts.
Dinner is at the camp restaurant (own expense). A shared night drive guided by a skilled Kruger ranger awaits. Head into the nocturnal realm, where with a bit of luck, you may encounter big cats on the prowl.

The morning game drive charts a course along the N’wanetsi River road, known for diverse wildlife sightings. This route meanders beside the river, an optimal setting for glimpsing the elusive leopards. Proceeding, the landscape unfolds onto vast plains, offering an ideal encounter with cheetahs. Known for lion sightings, this area also hosts white rhinos, herds of buffalo, blue wildebeest, zebra, kudu, and giraffe.
We head to a scenic picnic site, strategically positioned with a lookout over the Sweni River gorge. Here, breakfast is served. Our exploration continues as we traverse an area renowned for one of Kruger’s super prides—a colossal assembly of 20 lions—before returning to camp. Lunch is then served, offering a moment of repose and relish the amenities available.
The afternoon unfolds along the Sweni road, with chances for lion encounters and, with some luck, sightings of the elusive wild dog. As the day winds down, dinner awaits upon our return to camp.

Kruger National Park (Skukuza Rest Camp)
Start with an early coffee before our adventure in the Satara area. The grasslands here provide ideal habitats for Cheetahs, and we hope to encounter these magnificent cats.
Return to camp for breakfast, we bid farewell to Satara, we begin a 90km drive to our next destination, Skukuza. Our journey leads us through lion territories, with stops at two iconic water points known for attracting wildlife. Around 1 pm, we reach Skukuza, enjoy an own expense lunch at the camp restaurant.
Skukuza offers accommodation in a traditional Rondawel, with twin beds, a private washroom, a ceiling fan, a fridge, air conditioning, and a patio.
Following lunch, take time to unwind and explore the camp’s amenities, a swimming pool, Park Shop, museum, and a walkway along the Sabie River.
Midday, our exploration continues in the Skukuza area, renowned for exceptional lion sightings. As we search for a pride of 20 lions. The day ends with dinner under the stars at our makeshift bush restaurant.

Today presents a opportunity to immerse yourself in the beauty through a guided bush walk. Accompanied by a seasoned Kruger ranger, master the art of tracking various animals and gaining insights not easily gleaned from a vehicle. It's a chance to experience the wonders of the wild up close.
Upon your return, a well-deserved breakfast awaits. We then pack up and continue our journey further south to Berg en Dal. For the final two nights of the safari, find comfort in Traditional African chalets with thatched roofs, twin beds, a private washroom, a small kitchen, and patio area.
Nestled in the mountainous terrain, Berg en Dal provides a stunning backdrop for photos. With the highest rainfall in Kruger, the area features lush riverine forests, creating an ideal habitat for elephants, leopards, and the park’s highest concentration of rhinos.
Midday, anticipate a thrilling safari drive in the Berg en Dal area. We return to camp at sunset, preparing dinner by the fire whilst relaxing.

Kruger National Park to Johannesburg
Our final safari beckons as we eagerly explore the Crocodile River, hoping for any surprises Kruger may unveil before our departure. Traversing the awakening landscape, we search for predators retreating with the sunrise, with the added possibility of encountering the resident pack of wild dogs that roam the vast area around Berg en Dal.
Upon our return, a satisfying breakfast awaits, marking the beginning of our final day in Kruger. We then embark on a three-hour journey to the exit gate, Phabeni, where at 12:30 pm, we commence the return transfer to Johannesburg. Anticipate arrival in Johannesburg between 17:00 and 18:00.
