We will pick you up from your guest house in Entebbe and transfer to Kibale national park. We recommend you have breakfast as early as 6:00am to 6:30am so that we set off at 7:00am for the primate capital. The transfer is about 6 hours meaning that you will be arriving at your lodge in time for a hot lunch with an open afternoon where you can visit and support the local communities. Dinner and overnight at the edge of the forest.

Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale tropical rain forest
After an early breakfast, you will drive to Kanyanchu to join others for briefing before you head into the forest with Uganda wildlife authority rangers in search of chimps. When chimps have been located, you will spend one hour with them and later return to the lodge for a hot lunch. In the afternoon, we take a walk in Bigodi wetlands, a community project aimed at changing and improving the lives of the host communities. More birds, wildlife and primates to be seen in wetland. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest
After you breakfast, we will depart from Kibale forest and drive towards the southern most parts of Uganda. The road trip is both scenic and wild as you traverse through the villages of Kigezi. Depending on where you gorilla permits have been booked, you will have lunch en route and proceed to overnight at the edge of the forest. (Accommodation and tracking sector depends on where you gorilla permits have been booked. Months of June, July, August, September, January and February are peak season and gorilla permits are easily sold out.).

Ultimate Gorilla tracking in Bwindi forest a world heritage site
After your early breakfast (7:00am), you will have short drive to the UWA briefing center where you will be taken through the dos and don’ts while tracking gorillas. After you have been allocated a gorilla family in a group of 8 Pax, you will be led by the armed ranger guides off the forest to search for the mountain gorillas. When gorillas have been located, you will have one full hour viewing them as they go on with their daily lives at a distance of 7-10 meters. Later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Please note that gorilla tracking can or may take about 4 hours to 8 hours or even more depending where gorillas are but 100% you will see the gorillas.

Transfer back to Entebbe with a local cuisine en route
After your breakfast (06:30hrs), we will depart from Bwindi as we head towards the central part of Uganda. This is a long drive with over 9 hours but its action packed with a lot of scenic and photographic stops en route. If you would like to taste the Ugandan rolex (food) we will stop at the rolex booth or Igongo cultural center for a hot lunch. Later drive to Entebbe where we will drop you off at the airport for your international flight. (Please note that there is an option for a flight from Kihihi or Kisoro to Entebbe which is about 2 hours) end of your safari.
