A Maramatta Safaris representative will pick you up from the airport and drive you to your accommodation in Arusha. Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park
After an early breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park for game viewing. The park is named after the Tarangire River, the only water source for the wildlife in the region during the Dry season. Unlike other Northern safari destinations, the park is home to diverse vegetation.
Tarangire National Park contains a vast wildlife concentration, including the largest species of Africa's animals and hundreds of bird species. The park was established in 1970 and is most famous for its diverse wildlife, vegetation, birds, tree-climbing lions, and baobab trees. Besides game viewing, Tarangire National Park is also the best for bird watching. Tourists can also engage in cultural visits and nature walks. You'll enjoy your lunch box inside the park.

Day 3
Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti National Park
Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will drive up into the cooler regions of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. When you first see Ngorongoro Crater, it looks like a forgotten world. The steep volcanic walls, including sweeping savannahs, pockets of acacia woodland, and glistening lakes and swamps, conceal a pristine wilderness. The crater was created when a giant volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself 2 to 3 million years ago, and it covers an area of 260 km².
The crater is famous for its geological delights and for being a natural reserve home to some of the densest large mammal populations on the African continent. After you descend into the crater, you quickly find yourself amongst many wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and more than 500 bird species. The crater provides the best chance of seeing the endangered black rhino. You will then transit through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the Serengeti, entering the park's south.

Day 4
Serengeti National Park to Karatu
Serengeti National Park to Karatu
The Serengeti is truly spectacular. It is famous for its vast open grasslands, which allow excellent wildlife sightings. The Serengeti's climate and vegetation have remained largely untouched for millions of years. Whilst it boasts abundant wildlife, it is perhaps best known for its annual great migration. Vast numbers of wildebeest, zebra and antelope move annually in a pattern, constantly seeking fresh grazing. The migration can be seen during any month; you only need to know where to look! The question should be about the "best places" to see the animals during a specific time of year.
In addition to the iconic landscapes, you have a good chance of encountering predators and may see lion, cheetah and leopard. It is a truly life-changing experience. In the afternoon, you will start your journey back to Karatu, hopefully enjoying more wonders along the way.

Day 5
Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha
Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha
After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a small but diverse park 120 km west of Arusha. Everything you’ll see here is on a different scale. It is compact (one of the narrowest parks in Africa) and epic (the Great Rift Escarpment towers over Lake Manyara’s Western boundary). The park’s namesake is a shallow salt lake which covers a large area of the park. It is flooded and dry with the seasons and is home to thousands of wading birds (including flamingos and over 500 other bird species). You may see baboons and elephants in the park’s thick evergreen forest and watch for the tree-climbing lions that have become famous throughout Africa. You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the park.
After your game drive, you will bid farewell to your guide and be dropped off at Arusha, Kilimanjaro Airport, or Arusha Airport. We hope you have enjoyed your adventure with Maramatta Safaris! Karibu, we wish you an enjoyable and relaxing journey.
