Day 1

The day begins with an early morning pick up from your place of stay, and after a briefing by your driver guide, the journey to Tsavo's Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary begins. On the 6-hour drive, there will be a rest stop either at Emali or Mtito Andei, and then the journey continues, ensuring you arrive at Salt Lick Safari Lodge just in time for lunch.
Venture on an afternoon game drive inside Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, which straddles the Southern Tsavo West National Park and is an important dispersal area and migrating corridor for wildlife between Tsavo East National Park and Tsavo West National Park. The watering holes found within the sanctuary are known to attract thirsty wildlife as they come in for a drink, making a game drive here very exhilarating. The sanctuary is also bird haven, and lit would be fun to try and identify as many bird species as you can.
at sunset, return to the lodge for relaxing.

Day 2

Enjoy an early morning game drive inside Taita Hills Wildlife sanctuary, and return for late breakfast. Later be treated to a an historical experience, the Heritage Tour of World War 1 at The Taita Hills Museum.
Return to Saltlick for Lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive, and later, in the later afternoon heat, watch the animals closely from a hideout as they drink to their fill in watering hole right next to the Lodge!

Day 3

From the Savanna Grasslands to the Pristine South Coast Beaches
After breakfast and check-out, a driver will take you to Voi Train Station for your journey on the Madaraka Express Train to Mombasa Terminus, from where a private transfer will take you to the exclusive Diani and Galu beaches south of Mombasa. Upon arrival, you'll check into Pinewood Beach Resort, nestled among dense tropical flora and palms, home to the endangered Colobus Monkey and over 100 bird species from the nearby forest.
Arrive with plenty of daylight to catch a beach stroll or a sundowner at the resident bar.

Day 4

Pinewood is nestled in a lush tropical growth within proximity to Diani’s Water Sports Centre.
The choice of activities include: Diving, snorkeling, kite surfing, windsurfing, glass bottom boats, deep sea fishing, dolphin safaris, jet skiing, quad biking, and cycling tours (the paid ticket gives you access to at least one of these options).
Alternatively, you can relax and enjoy some beach time all day and be sure to try the fresh coconut drink believed to be a powerful body cleanser by the locals. Colobus monkeys and dozens of bird species hang around the lush growth, making for a great nature phenomenon. For fitness enthusiasts, the property offers several complimentary options for a healthy work out and spa services.

After an early cup of tea or coffee, a Pilli Pipa Dhow Cruise representative will be waiting to transfer you to Wasini Island.
The experience continues to gain rave reviews for its authenticity and the opportunity to see marine life from a traditional dhow. On a lucky day, the playful dolphins of the South Coast come out to play, and it's usually a spectacle to behold.
Enjoy traditional Swahili Cuisine at lunchtime; if seafood is your thing, you'll be spoilt by the choice. After lunch, you can explore the Shimoni Caves and learn more about the slave trade era, which ironically infused the Kenyan Coast with cultural diversity and influenced many aspects of Swahili culture.
Ahoy! Return to shore and be transferred to Pinewood to freshen up, with dinner and overnight stay there.

This is the last day of your relatively short but action-packed game safari and beach holiday!
After a lazy breakfast, you will catch a last tan by the beaches/swimming pool (one can't simply get enough of this idyllic beach destination).
Lunch at Pinewood Beach Resort & Spa, followed by a brief rest before you are transferred to Ukunda Airstrip for your onward domestic flight to Nairobi.
TIP: Major airlines now fly out of Moi International Airport, Mombasa, so you can opt to fly direct from the Coast and soak up some more sun as you await your late evening outbound flight.
