Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park

Early in the morning, you start the journey from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park with a private jeep. Approximately it takes about 5 hours to drive with one stop in Morogoro for lunch before proceeding to Mikumi National Park. On arrival in Mikumi National Park, you start with visiting the Maasai boma.

Morning to evening game drive

Early Morning at 06:30 After breakfast drive to Mikumi National Park for a full-day game drive until sunset, Whilst on safari, you can see a rich variety of bird species, as well as large numbers of giraffes, buffalo and elephants. If you are lucky, you may also be able to spot lions, leopards. Other animals you're likely to see include zebras, hippos, hartebeests, wildebeests, impalas, warthogs, elands and antelopes. Overnight at Mikumi Camp Bastian.

Udzungwa mountains and waterfalls

Early morning after breakfast at 07:00am with lunch boxes packed drive to Udzungwa Mountain 60kilometer, arrival and you will check-in at the park headquarters and thereafter you start hiking to Sanje Waterfall which is about 170m above sea level dropping in four different stages, Sanje the waterfall is the highest waterfall in Tanzania National Park system and here it is a cool place for swimming with fantastic views. The hiking will take 5hours to hike and return and on your way, you will be rewarded with encounters with primates like monkeys, get to watch the unique and rare monkey primates such as the endangered Iringa Red Colobus Monkey and the Sanje Crested Mangabey only found in this park, also watch birds, butterflies, plants and some reptiles which will give you a memorable experience. You will have your lunch in the park, return back and start drive to Mikumi Camp Bastian for Dinner and overnight.

Mikumi camp bastian to Dar es salaam

In the morning after breakfast, drive back to Dar es Salaam and cross Mikumi National Park on the way you have time to spot animals again. You'll be arriving and dropped at Ferry or Airport.
