Day 1

Today we start your morning early and leave for the misty mountain straight after breakfast. Get ready for an action-packed day and put on your hiking boots as we get ready for a steady and slow hike with the most awesome views of Mt Kilimanjaro and the scenic backdrop of the forest. The ascent you will be tackling is more than 1,000m, as you hike steadily up through tropical montane forests, home to a variety of animals and birdlife. With the help of your guide, you may spot colobus monkeys, crested turacos and more. Your day hike in Mt Kilimanjaro National Park allows you to experience what climbing the mountain is like without having to make the entire trek to the peak. Africa's highest and most famous mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro, lies at 5,895 meters above sea level and a full hike takes between five and six days. Visit this famous park over one day and enjoy the forests of the lower slopes. Enjoy a wonderful picnic lunch in the park before hiking back down to the gate.
