You will be picked up at Maun International Airport where you will meet your safari guide before leaving on 3-4 hour drive to Khwai Concession, provided the drive has not been delayed by game spotting on the way. The game drive technically starts once we have passed the Buffalo fence, an hour’s drive from Maun. Upon arrival, you will find your designated camp set up and ready.
Located just outside the north-eastern boundaries of the Moremi Game Reserve, Khwai offers unmatched wildlife encounters, including spectacular bird watching opportunities. Here you’ll enjoy great game viewing, including night game drives, as animals gather around various watering holes and the Khwai River. This wildlife-rich area is one of the best places in Botswana to see African wild dogs and other predators and, with no fences separating any of these areas, you are likely to see just about everything that northern Botswana has to offer.
