Dar es Salaam city tour

The tour will start at the ferry port or airport in Dar es Salaam just after you arrive in Dar city.

On this day our guide will be waiting at the exit main gate of the ferry port or airport in Dar es Salaam. Then afterwards begin with the city tour and on this day you'll experience swahili local food as it will be your lunch of the day between the tour. Today you will have enough time to experience the city and our guide will explain to you and elaborate more about the famous statues such as the askari monument, Uhuru touch of freedom, Mnazi mmoja park, clock tower, national museum and coco beach.

Later evening drive to the hotel for check in and rest so you can start the next day with enough energy.

Leave Dar es Salaam city early morning with your packed breakfast meal so as you can avoid the traffic on the way. The drive from Dar es Salaam to Bagamoyo may take approximately 2hours.

Bagamoyo has numerous old buildings from the colonial era, on narrow unpaved streets. Beautiful Arabic architecture with thick walls and beautifully carved hardwood doors. During a walk through narrow streets you will see the German colonial administration office, the art market, the old post office, the old mosques, the hanging tower, the Caravan Serai Museum and the fish market.

So today in Bagamoyo you will have enough time to visit Kaole ruins, catholic museum, Caravan serai museum, snake park and Bagamoyo town.
