Personal adornment in the Hamer people consists of hairstyles and jewelry, which serve as indicators of marital status, age, affluence, and social standing.

Excursion to Omorate
In the morning, drive to Omorate and cross the Omo River by local boat to visit the Dasennech people (also known as the Galeb people ). The Dassanech have a deep connection to their ancestral lands, which are characterized by vast grasslands, riverbanks, and semi-arid environments. Their traditional way of life revolves around pastoralism, agriculture, and fishing. Afterwards, return to Turmi, and later in the afternoon, you will visit the local village. Return to Turmi, and if there is a traditional Hamer wedding ceremony, drive to Jinka for an overnight stay.
